Buffalo Music Hall of Fame

In 1996, George Lorenz was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. They recognized him as the man who "brought rock and roll to Buffalo and the Eastern U.S. Some contend he was more instrumental than Alan Freed in introducing rock and roll to radio." We can honestly say that George would be honored by this distinction.

The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame recognizes groups and individuals who have had a significant impact on the Western New York music scene and/or achieved success in the music industry on a national and often an international scale. In addition to honoring outstanding music professionals from the Western New York area and preserving the rich musical heritage in Buffalo, NY, the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame is committed to presenting music to people of all ages by sponsoring an Early Childhood Music Program in the Buffalo Public Schools.
